Lab 3 Notes 4/14/09

1.) Get PCR samples, 5 tubes and then label (1/sample)
2.) Add 5mL of loading dye to each tube.
3.) Put 5mL PCR samples into labeled tube and then pipet up and down to mix.
4.) Use samples to run on a gel for 45min. to an hour.

If: You have bands (1 crisp band 500bp-2000bp) and at least 1 is from the experimental (NOT positive control). Keep the gel, and purify PCR product with a column.

If: You do not have any bands, and no experimental bands, then rerun PCR from last time after troubleshooting with Dr. Robson.
